Epiphone Sheraton

Epiphone Sheraton

Classic Guitar Killer Tone.

The Epiphone Sheraton is a  classic guitar made famous by the legendary guitarist John Lee Hooker. It was modeled after the Gibson ES-335 after Gibson took over Epiphone in the late 1950's.

The guitar is a semi-hollow arch top design with dual humbuckers. The guitar is not made in the USA but it's fit and finish is as good if not better than many guitars in it's price range and better than some.

You will be hard pressed to find a better guitar in this price range as it retails usually in the $600 dollar range.

The most popular modification for this guitar is a swap of the pickups. Some players don't like the stock ones, but on the other side of the coin many do.

The guitarist will fit anyone who plays jazz or the blues perfectly, but don't let the semi hollow aspect of the guitar make you think this guitar is not versaitle. It is as versatile as most solid bodies.

Bottom line is that if you want affordable Gibson like tone at the working mans price this guitar will fit the bill perfectly. The neck is buttery smooth and has a fat jazzy sound.

I dedicated a site to the guitar here.
